LANXESS to provide EUR 100,000 of emergency aid for flood victims in Pakistan

LANXESS AG is donating EUR 100,000 to the German children’s charity Kindernothilfe e.V. to provide emergency aid for victims of the flood disaster in Pakistan. Employees of the specialty chemicals group have also initiated fund-raising campaigns at numerous sites throughout the world. The Group will match the total amount of money raised by employees worldwide over the coming weeks. The money collected in Germany will go to Kindernothilfe e.V.

According to the United Nations, millions of people are affected by the floods in Pakistan, many of them children. Kindernothilfe e.V. and its partner organizations are providing emergency relief in the disaster areas in northwest Pakistan and report that they were able to supply thousands of people with urgently needed drinking water, food, hygiene kits and tents within the first few weeks.

At other LANXESS sites, including those in Belgium and Singapore, employees have established partnerships with national aid organizations to help people in the crisis-hit area.
